CRUZETAS: BOUCHI & MEIA TRADIÇÃO . 2015
PRODUCT DESIGN

Two projects developed for Caldas Design Week , held in Caldas da Rainha, May 2016. The exhibition name was "Multitude - Do ideal ao impossível" and for the hanger exhibition we focused on recreating a hanger based on old ones.

(The second project was made in collaboration with my colleague Rita Martins.)

Boushi

Boushi is a Hanger, not a hat or a boat. It came from Japan, and  wanted to be a hanger. An origami hanger... The white one is made of metal. The other hangers are in paper as suggesting people to make their own hangers. It comes with the assembling instructions.

MEIA TRADIÇÃO

MEIA TRADIÇÃO
Portugal, the country I was born and raised in, is strong in the ceramic production sector.

It’s traditional in Portugal to use plates not only as tableware but on the walls as decorative pieces as well..Based on that idea we created a hanger in clay , to put on the wall like a normal decorative plate but adding this function.
